Jekka is an expert, author and broadcaster on the cultivation and use of herbs. She has published several books including Jekka’s Herb Cook Book and Jekka’s Complete Herb Book, which has sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
She regularly contributes to the BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, RHS The Garden, BBC Good Food and The Guardian. She has also appeared on many television programmes, recently in the Great British Garden Revival and Mary Berry Cooks.
Jekka’s Herbetum, the first in the UK, was created in the grounds of Jekka’s Herb Farm in 2013, displaying the largest collection of culinary herbs in the UK.
The Jekka's Herbs collection from Johnsons is made up of 47 varieties including well-known classic herbs as well as some more unusual varieties.
With large style packets, including beautiful photography from Jekka and advice on what each herb is best used for in cooking.
Two new varieties have been added to the range for the 2019 season:
Sweet Mace (RRP £2.60 for 100 seeds) Also known as Mexican Tarragon and superior in flavour to Russian Tarragon. Aromatic leaves and vibrant flowers create a charming effect. Frost tender perennial. Height 45cm.
Garlic Wild (RRP £2.60 for 50 seeds) Also known as Ramsoms, it forms dense leafy carpets with a delicious garlicy aroma. Leaves and flowers can be used much like garlic or chives. Hardy perennial. Height 40cm.
